Ulta Foundation

I hope everyone is having an amazing end to this year! I cannot believe that it is already over!! Seems like it just started. But anyways, today I will be talking about this Ulta foundation I bought recently and give you my review. I have been using it for two weeks now so hopefully this is helpful for anyone who was thinking about getting it.

First I need to explain my skin, I have very normal skin that can get oily when it is hot out and also certain foundations can make it get oily throughout the day. My very first application I loved the finish and how it made my skin look/feel, but as my day ended I noticed that my face was looking a little more oily. I thought it was because I did not use a powder. It claims that it is a powder finish so I didn't think I would need it.

The next day I used it I made sure I used my setting powder, this made a little difference but nothing to drastic. I have found it looks best when I use my Estee Lauder double wear powder  over it; not a thick layer but just enough to fight away the oils while I go throughout my day.

My overall opinion on the foundation is that it is good but I have found so many other drug store foundations that work better for the same price. I will finish using the product on days I don't need a full face of makeup but will not be repurchasing.

I hope everyone had an amazing Holiday!

Today I wanted to discuss my favorite hair care tools. I used to be a big Chi hair straightener but now I cannot stop using the Megastar. It helps straighten my hair two times as fast as my Chi did and even when I apply heat to my hair every day I still get told by my hair dresser that it is not too damaged. I do use a head protector but I also credit this amazing tool to helping my hair stay in good condition. This is a must have for anyone who uses a straightener.

I always wanted a good curler but didn't know which kind I would like best so the Lustrum set was perfect for me because I can try out all different kinds of barrels.  I bought this to use when I was in my best friends wedding. It not only is perfect for travel but I have been enjoying it when I am at my house and want to try out new ways to curl my hair. Each barrel creates a different look. It is perfect for any one who is already good at curling and those who are just getting into curling their hair.

Hey Guys!

Hope you all are having a wonderful day and those who celebrate, Merry Christmas Eve! Today I want to talk about a company that totally blew me away with customer service. I love it when companies go that extra mile and make the customer feel special. Jadelynn Brooke does just that. My order came fast and not only was the packaging nice but when I opened it I found a hand written note thanking me for my purchase! This has only happened to me one other time and it is service like this that will make me keep coming back. This company shows true southern charm and 

Anyway! After that long intro I am going to talk about what really matters; the clothes! Every weekend I try to watch football so I thought having this really cute long sleeve for football season would be perfect. I absolutely love this long sleeved top! It is perfect with a pair of leggings. Next, I got the cutest sweater ever that says “Y’all” on it. It is the softest sweater I own! I could not pass this up once I saw the elbow patches. Last year I wanted some sweaters with this detail but the ones that I could find where for men and I did not think I could pull it off. I would still love to find a dressier sweater that I could wear for work but this will be perfect for weekends.

Since the sweatshirt I'm sharing is out of stock I am linking my favorite tops at the moment; and hopefully under the tree this year  ;)

Sephora Hull

Hey guys!

Sephora is one of my weakness and with the holidays here it was the perfect time to buy some new holiday collections (let face it the packaging sucks us in).

Tarte Brush Set (Favorite brush here):

Bought this because A. I always want new brushes to use and B. because this packaging was too cute. I have to say it was well worth the money, I have used every brush and they have quickly become my new favorites. It is sold out everywhere online but check your local Sephora because they may still have some. 

Tarte Eyelash Curler (similar one here):

This was not a necessity but due to the fact that my current eyelash curler was falling apart I found this to be the best time to buy a named brand one and Tarte never disappoints with the designs. I absolutely love how they designed their Holiday line this year.

Makeup Eraser:

This is the best way to take off make up! I love using wipes to take off makeup but this is a much better alterative. After four months this pays for itself!  

Glam Glow Poutmud Fizzy Lip:

With the cold weather here I decided that I needed a good lip scrub. This really blew me away! Last year I got the bite beauty scrub and was so disappointed but this beats my lush lip scrub. I use the scrub twice a week and the lip balm every night and when I wake my lips are still moisturized. 

Anastasia Brow Wiz:

This is my favorite product to fill in my eye brows. I was using the powder from this line before and now that I am back to using the brow wiz I wonder why I started using the powder. It is so fast and easy to apply. It adds just enough but never too much. This product is easy to blend and if any gets on the skin it comes off with ease. Perfect for those who are either just getting into makeup and those who want a fast easy way to fill in their eye brows.

First Aid Beauty Milk Cleanser:

I was on the market for a new cleanser. During the winter months I like to use some kind of milk cleanser to help keep my skin moisturized and this is amazing. It not only takes off whatever make up I still have on my face but it leaves my skin feel soft with no greasy residue. I can't wait to try out more from this line. 

Dry Bar Velvet Hammer:

I am never one to buy into how hair products will change the way you style your hair, and being the worst blow dryer of all times I didn’t know how this product would work but I love how it cuts my drying time in half. Also I have been a little adventurous and tried it out to style my wet hair with no heat. I used it after I put my detangler and it did make a big difference in how frizzy my hair got as it was drying throughout my day.
